What we use AI for
Midcent's articles are researched and drafted with the help of large language models. Section briefs, headlines and images are produced the same way. We do this because it lets four sections publish steadily; we are telling you because a reader is entitled to know how what they are reading was made.
What a person does
Nothing publishes itself. Before an article goes live a person sets the brief and the angle, checks the claims that matter — figures, dates, names, anything a reader might act on — and cuts what cannot be supported. Where an article depends on a source, we link it so you can check it yourself.
Bylines
Each section is published under an editorial persona rather than an individual journalist's name. The persona is the section's voice, not a real person, and we do not present it as one. Editorial responsibility sits with Midcent Media Group AB.
What we will not do
We do not publish AI-generated quotes attributed to real people, invented sources, or images that would pass as photographs of real events. We do not use AI to generate financial, medical or legal advice presented as personal guidance.
Getting it wrong
AI-assisted writing gets things wrong in ways that read fluently, which is exactly what makes corrections matter. If you find an error, tell us on our contact page and we will fix it and say what changed.
